Abstract: Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is an extremely contagious zoonotic disease that introduces economic and agricultural risks in South Africa. Through integrating historical outbreak records, weather patterns, and human population data, this project aims to enable stakeholders to visually identify patterns and potential drivers of FMD outbreaks. The interactive dashboard enables users to explore outbreak trends across provinces and districts, assess environmental correlations, and forecast risk under varying conditions. Visualizations highlight regions such as KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Limpopo as high-risk zones with recurring outbreaks. By combining data exploration with predictive modelling, the dashboard enhances awareness and supports proactive planning for FMD control and response.
