Abstract: Parliamentary Hansard, questions and answers, and bills make up the majority of the information useful to journalists. This, in itself, is too much information for a single journalist to process and extract useful insights from, as the signal-to-noise ratio is quite low. Thus, the objective of this project is to develop an assistive dashboard that provides both at-a-glance insights into topics and a deep research function that supports RAG-assisted searches and answers to questions. This approach yielded a result that achieves these outcomes; however, it can be extended in future with other modalities of data, such as audio and data in other languages.
